Charouz Racing System drivers Niko Kari, Igor Fraga and David Schumacher made good progress on the first day of FIA Formula 3 Championship pre-season testing in Bahrain today.

The duo racked up a combined total of 127 laps around the Bahrain International Circuit, the venue for the opening round of the 2020 series on 20-22 March.

Niko, the most experienced driver in F3 machinery, was consistently quick as he set the seventh fastest time in the morning and the 10th quickest during the afternoon session.

Newly-crowned Toyota Racing Series Champion, Igor, spent the morning acclimatising to his new surroundings before then securing the ninth fastest time at the end of the day.

Formula Regional European race winner David Schumacher completed 41 laps and improved his pace between the morning and afternoon sessions.

Testing will continue on Monday and Tuesday in Bahrain as all three drivers take part in another pair of on-track sessions each day.
